The Bird of Ill Omen

What is this? Did I actually draw something??? What is this madness!?

This is the result of weeks of my new-found obsession with "Creepypasta" festering. XD Yes, I got sucked into it after watching Marble Hornets on a "Let's see what the buzz for the last few years is about" whim. I don't even like scary things, yet somehow, I'm addicted, and have been slowly digging up more things to read, watch, etc. XD

So much bad fanfiction and scary fanbase had kept me from actually looking into it for this long, but I finally caved. I'm happy to see that so much is actually really good and enjoyable! So now I'm a little bit of a CP junkie... >.> So now I've got a small list of characters already, this guy, another 'pasta, and two "Survivors"(Those poor normal human souls who try not to die). I might upload the doodles of them later once I clean it up, and get Cultist(the CP) more figured out mentally.

Okay, that and my sliding my little guilty confession over, I'll put down a bit about this guy on the off chance someone is interested. XD

This desceptively man-looking entity is anything but, not a bit of his inhuman shape being false or decorative, meaning that even the skull is grafted firmly to, and is, his face. I took a lot of inspiration from crows, without actually wanting him to 'look' like one, but more of a distorted implication in some areas. (Obviously that face is not anatomically accurate ) Omen is an entity that stalks those who are destined to meet a terrible, and very likely supernatural, death. He leaves "warnings" in the forms of small twisted dolls and effegies, or parts of them, and can frequently even be spotted from afar in dark corners, on roofs, etc. It's not uncommon to see him with "his own kind" chilling out on his mantle of plummage. If the individual somehow eludes their demise, and the one meant to end them doesn't come through, nor catch up to them so to speak, Omen takes it into his own talons to do something about it, and keep the grim clock of mortality clicking along. Think of him as a sort of "upholder of the law" when it comes to the line between natural and supernatural crossing over. He makes sure the laws of mortality must be abided by the mortals, and doesn't have a problem moping up what destiny seemed too lazy to finish.

It's not a pretty end, particularly since he intentionally makes it as miserable and painful as possible; mentally, physically, and emotionally. First is long periods of stalking, while using "scare tactics" like leaving dead animals in your bed, effegies resembling you in various horrible circumstances(Like sticking partway out of your garbage disposal, only for you to pull it out and realize it's half-devoured and has actualy organs from some poor small critter inside), and even making sure you catch side of him at a slowly but steadily increasing rate. He then starts haunting and tormenting the ones you love before killing them and leaving their bodies to be found as a "Head's up" that your time is coming down. Once that is all done, he'll continue to up the game until the individual finally breaks, or he decides it's gone on too long. The point is to punish the mortal for living and not submitting to their fated end, and "breaking the rules" by continuing to struggle.

However, attempts t off one's self won't drive him away, he doesn't make it so easy... Regardless, surviving is means enough to make the end of your life as miserable as possible, but he might speed up the process and even skip a couple steps if you buckle and submit to dying. The longer you live, the more steps he takes, the shorter, the less he does between point A and point B. Example; you gave up to him, so he lets your family live since they weren't the target. You don't give in, and he adds them to the steps.

Safe to say, he doesn't have many friends. 8'D

This is the very rough idea that sort of bubbled into my skull this afternoon. So here you have it, my own little FC/OC/CP/whatever you would classify him as. XD
